Context and Challenge

Morgan McKinley is a leading specialist and global recruitment company that has developed over the last 25 years. The world of recruitment is fast paced and rapidly evolving and therefore it is essential that staff are fully equipped for a demanding and challenging environment staff. High energy, clear thinking and the ability to perform under pressure are pre-requisites for staff if they are to continue striving for the highest standards.

The Solution

Anna spent time understanding the organisation and their challenges and together with the head of Learning Development a resilience programme was agreed. The Directors would benefit from 1-day workshops and the senior consultants would receive half-day workshops.

The content would cover a mix of mental, emotional and physical resilience in order to build capacity and sustain high performance as well as increase energy and the ability to perform under pressure.

The key themes were:

  • Tools and techniques for staying calm and maintaining composure in the face of pressure
  • Manage and retrain your stress response
  • Building and enhancing confidence in the face of setback
  • Clear thinking and improving decision making
  • Improve concentration and energy levels through nutrition, exercise and movement and energy renewal

The workshops proved to be highly valuable and very well received. The resilience programme continues to run at senior consultant level.
